We're Hiring: Chief Accountant – Based in Kuwait
We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant to join our team. If you’re a strong leader with a solid background in construction accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting, this might be the right opportunity for you!
Location: Kuwait
Salary: 800–900 KWD
Working Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
Visa Type: Article 18 (Transferable Only)
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting (preferably in construction sector).
- Proven experience in managing a team of senior/junior accountants.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of VAT and local regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and handle full accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team (including senior accountants).
- Monitor project costs and ensure accurate job costing.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.
- Ensure proper controls over inventory and assets.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll oversight.
- Ensure compliance with all tax and legal requirements.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
